Cam to Cam Chat Online

Cam to cam is a video conversation where both people share their camera picture. You can see the other person and check your own view while you talk.

What the two camera views mean

One view shows the other person. The other lets you see your own camera picture. Before sharing, check your frame and what's visible behind you.

You may also see this called cam2cam or two-way video chat. Before joining, check that your lens is clear and your microphone is picking up sound.

Your picture and your microphone are different controls

Blurring your picture changes how your video appears to the other person. It doesn't mute your microphone. Muting your microphone stops your microphone audio; it doesn't blur your picture.

You can also mute the other person's sound. That changes what you hear, not whether they can hear you. Check each control separately instead of assuming one switch handles picture and sound together.

What cam to cam doesn't promise

Two-way video describes the format of a conversation. It doesn't promise who will answer, what they'll want to discuss, or how long they'll stay.

You can’t filter matches by country, language or gender. To start in voice mode, choose voice matching before a call; a video call can’t be switched to voice midway through.

04 / Stay comfortable

Keep control of what you share

CamWink doesn't record calls. That doesn't stop another participant from taking a screenshot or recording with their own device, so only share what you're comfortable letting someone see or hear.

Avoid showing documents, addresses, or private screens in the background. Blur is a useful control, not a substitute for checking the frame.

05 / What comes next

When it's time to stop

End a call whenever you want to. If you tap Next, the person you've skipped won't be matched with you again for a while. If you need to report or block someone, do that from their profile after the call.

A blocked person won't be matched with you again. You don't need to stay in a call to explain why you're leaving.

Cam to Cam Chat Online: your questions

More about getting started
What does cam2cam mean?

Cam2cam means both participants use their cameras during the same call. It’s a shorter way of writing cam to cam.

Do I need a camera and microphone?

Video matching asks for camera and microphone access. Check that your device and browser support them before starting.

Does blurring my picture mute my microphone?

No. Use the microphone control to stop sending audio. The blur button only changes the picture the other person sees.

Does CamWink record the call?

The service doesn’t record the video call. However, the other participant could capture your screen or sound independently, so keep private information out of the conversation.

Can I turn a video call into a voice call?

No. There isn't an in-call switch to voice mode. Voice matching is a separate option at the start.
